Anyone know why I can't install DNN 4.X n my XP Pro/SQL 2005 machine? After setting up the database, and permissions (database and directory) the installation fails and tells me it can't find get_portalAlias stored procedure or some nonsense like that.

I KNOW THAT IT"S getting to the SQL server (2005) because it creates the Versions table and that's all.

I have been able to install this on dozens of SQL Server 2000 servers but this is occuring with SS 2005.
It's driving me absolutly nuts, I've restored and reinstalled 1/2 dozen times.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Since this is a different database server, have you checked the permission of the user you're using to log into the database?

Perhaps you don't have rights to create object with one schema prefix but not another. Are you using an owner for you objects other than dbo?

Anything else of the ordinary?
