Hello,

Core Lab offers a MySQL data provider for DNN. Unfortunately, only the std DNN modules are supported, and Core Lab does not intend to adapt the data provider for compatibility with ListX / OWS.

I would definitely be VERY interested in being able to host a DNN portal running on MySQL. Are others among us interested in this as well, and who would be able to write the data DNN provider for OWS (bi4ce?).

Thanks,
Ken

I'll take a look at what would be required from our perspective. Thanks for the request.

Hello Kevin,

Below is the email I received from Alexey at Core Lab (AlexeyMan@crlab.com). There was a zip attached as well with sample code, but I currently don't have permission to upload files to the forum. I'll add them as soon as you have updated my profile's permissions.

Cheers,
Ken

Hello,

Here is an ifnformation about standard way to support a
castom DNN module.

Modules.Links.CoreLabMySqlDataProvider.sln is the
implementation of standard Links module for MySQL.
It's almost the same as standard implementation for SQL
Server. You can find standard implementation in DotNetNuke
source.

References:
CoreLab.MySql.DNN.DataProvider.dll - DotNetNuke Data
Provider for MySQL [size 273 Kb] which can be downloaded
from
http://www.crlab.com/mysqlnet/download.html.
DotNetNuke.* libraries - part of DotNetNuke 4.7. Note that
only DNN 4.7 is currently supported.

Procedures.sql: you can use {objectQualifier} as a database
object prefix in script instead of "dnn_" ("dnn_" left for
simplicity).

Best regards,
Alexey Mandrychenko

Kevin,

apparently, it's not possible to upload files to the DNN forum. I have forwarded all information to info@bi4ce.com.

Thanks for having a look.

Hi Kevin,

just noticed that the Devart (Core Lab) dataprovider is now compatible with DNN 4.7.0.0 (used to be 4.0.3 for ages). This raises the topic again for both listX and OWS

Thanks in advance,
Ken Stessens
