Tried to upgrade my license to the CSS editor.
Got the message below....I uninstalled and reinstalled...same thing. The editor appears in the list of placeable modules but doesn't install to a pane.

I upgraded to DNN 4.8.1. yesterday with no apparent problems. Need help with completely removing the editor so I can install cleanly.

The version you are using does it say CSS.Editor or CSS_Editor?

Also have you tried placing any other modules onto a page?

One other thing to try and I am going to try and recreate this here, but can you create a new page and try to add the CSS module to that

Great minds think alike....that's the first thing I tried before posting.

Thanks for your help.

I installed in 4.8.. uninstalled.. reinstalled... then I upgraded to 4.8.1 uninstalled.. installed.. and still working fine.

Is there anything else you can tell me about the install that might give me a clue?

Ah...the things that should be reported...

There was an install of an earlier version of the editor.

I did not uninstall that version before attempting to install the updated

I attempted to install 1.9.9 twice. I simply overlooked the fact that I'd installed it once.

Appears that my few other 3rd party modules are working on live sites.

Ken

I _think_ I got the above error installing it the second time but I am not certain.

After the second attempt, there there were two referencess to CSS_Editor in the module list.

I uninstalled both.

I reinstalled the editor, and got the error.

I tried to add the module to an existing page...nothing displayed.

I created a new page, tried to add the module...nothing displayed.

Dave,

any luck? If you can give me the sql code to 'clean out' the old install that would help.

Hello,
It appears that the index that is added to this table is causing the problem. On my instance of DNN 4.8.1 I do not have that index that is failing. Could this be something installed by one of the other modules on your site?
Thanks,

Robert Chumley
