I use the Navigator module. Occassionally, the navigation will disappear. I go into the View Options and all the settings are gone – the class settings are blank and everything is back to the default. I have not figured out what is causing this to happen. Possibly it happens after someone edits another module on the page, but I'm not sure. This behavior has happened on two separate installations. DNN v4.8. Navigator v 2.3.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix?
Thanks,
Ken

What are the cache settings on your DNN system? Also, are you running in multi-threaded mode? Does restarting the website solve the problem?
Thanks,

I am experiencing the same issue. The problem does not resolve itself on restart. Other suggestions?

Hello,
Are you guys running on multiple portals. If so, is this a child portal or a parent? Are there any funky network configurations like proxies enabled that may have issues with the redirect?
Thanks,

Not running multiple portals. No funky configurations. We are narrowing down the problem to specific times of the day - typically peak traffic times. IIS worker process starts spiking and server stops responding. On IISReset or reboot, class information on 99% of the instances of the Navigator module have disappeared.

Important to note. There are about one thousand instances of the module all referencing back to two unique instances. Fixing the class definition on those two fixes it for the others.

Same for me. Just a straight up DNN install, no child portals.

What did you change in the class definition?

SITE 1
Using the Standard Display Type, I only show the Left Text column. So in the Group Class Settings, I have:
Static | Hover | Current | Current Hover
Menu Item: subnav1 | subnav1 | subnavCurrent1 | subnav1
Left Text: subnav1 | subnav1 | subnavCurrent1 | subnav1
All other fields are blank.
Same for Item Class Settings:
Menu Item: subnav2 | subnav2 | subnavCurrent2 | subnav2
Left Text: subnav2 | subnav2 | subnavCurrent2 | subnav2

SITE 2
Standard Display Type, showing Left Text column only.
All Group Class Settings and Item Class Settings are populated.
